Citizens Advice North Somerset (CANS) is moving to new premises in Waterloo Street, Weston-super-Mare. This move has been prompted by a change of ownership of the Badger Community Resource Centre and our lease not being renewed beyond 2019.
The new premises will offer private interview space, a training room and office space for our 22 paid staff and 80+ volunteers. We will install a lift to ensure all floors are accessible to both clients and staff.
We need to raise in the region of £200,000 to help turn the new building into a modern, professional, secure and fully equipped space to ensure our much needed services are available to anyone living or working in North Somerset well into the future.
Citizens Advice North Somerset is a local independent charity that provides free, impartial, confidential and non-judgmental advice.
In 2016/17 we helped over 7,000 people who came to us with over 22,000 issues.
For every £1 invested in our services £27.95 is going back into the community through benefit applications and appeals, debts managed or written off and consumer problems resolved.
As a charity, we rely on the support and generosity of companies, grant-making trusts and members of the public. People like you. We gratefully welcome any financial contribution, no matter how small.
All the money we receive will go directly into helping us move and keeping our charity operating and ensuring our services are as effective as possible.
Thank you in advance for your generosity.
