Finding Help in North Somerset

Age UK Somerset provides an independent, confidential and free advice service for older people and their families. Support includes help with benefits and many factsheets.

Alliance Homes offer a wide range of support services to people living in North Somerset with the aim of supporting you to live independent, safe and fulfilled lives.

ACFA is a network of advice centres in Bristol, South Gloucestershire & North Somerset, to improve the quality and provision of free, independent and confidential advice.

Big Worle  is a  community-led initiative which was awarded Lottery funding to enable the area of Worle to become an even better place to live.

Brigstowe offers specialist, confidential and free support, advice and information to anyone affected by HIV. Its mission is to enhance the quality of life for people living with HIV.

Clevedon District Foodbank provides three days' nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to people in the Clevedon area who are referred to them in crisis.

Keysteps is a charity which offers bonds instead of rent deposits to the homeless of North Somerset who are looking to the private sector for accommodation.

Healthwatch North Somerset is the independent champion for people who use health and social care services, by seeking to improve access and changes to services.

Home-Start North Somerset offers free, confidential support, friendship and practical help to parents in North Somerset, by means of parent-to-parent support.

The Legal Aid Agency provides civil and criminal legal aid and advice in England and Wales to help people deal with their legal problems.

North Somerset Council is the local authority of North Somerset. It provides a full range of local government services, including Council Tax and social services.

North Somerset LGBT+ Forum is a locally-based registered charity formed to support members of the LGBT+ community, their friends and families within North Somerset.

North Somerset Stroke Recovery Service provides information, practical advice and emotional support following a stroke. For stroke survivors, carers and family members.

65 High Street in Nailsea is a digital learning centre to support health and wellbeing and is a venue for everyone in the community.

Somewhere To Go is a support centre set up specially to help rough sleepers and disadvantaged, vulnerable adults.

SSAFA helps veterans and service personnel, and their families, in the local community by providing support, advice and a variety of practical services.

The University of Bristol Law Clinic provides free advice and support to those unable to obtain legal support from elsewhere under the supervision of Law School staff.

Vision North Somerset is a registered charity supporting over 1500 blind and partially sighted people in North Somerset.

Voluntary Action North Somerset's mission is to represent, empower and develop the Voluntary Sector in North Somerset. We also host the North Somerset Volunteer Centre.

We Are With You provides free, confidential support with alcohol, drugs or mental health for people over 18, living in North Somerset.

We Care Home Improvements provides support to help people to live comfortably and independently at home for as long as they choose.

Wessex Water - can provide help to customers who are finding it hard to pay their water bills. There are a number of schemes such as spreading the cost of the bill and debt repayment plans.
